Incredible food, great atmosphere, and amazing service. The Molcajete will change lives; it may be a little pricey but you will not be disappointed and you certainly won’t go home hungry. Highly recommend. I’ve also had the carne asada tacos which were incredibly delicious.

My favorite place for pupusas and tamales in the city! This is a go to spot for my friends and I. We've usually spend $30ish per person. We've tried lots of their dishes and we like them all. The Bandeja Centroamericana and Plato Guanaco entree are great for people who like grazing and trying a variety of items -it's like a sampler plate. Some of our other favorites are Chicharron, El Casado, and Pollo Guisado. The chicharron can be on the dry side sometimes, but even then the flavor is so good. The staff has specifically told me the Pastelitos, tamales, and pupusas use corn flour and are gluten free. I only have a mild wheat allergy, so if you have a severe allergy or celiac disease it would be good to double check with the staff. Keep in mind, they make food from from several differnt counties so the dishes might be different from what your used to.

We went to La Cabana on Thanksgiving, 11/27/25 around 8 PM for a family dinner, and honestly, it ended up being one of the best decisions we made that day. We weren’t sure what to expect since it was a holiday and places can be hectic, but the moment we walked in, everything felt relaxed and welcoming. Nicole, our server, set the tone right away. She was unbelievably kind, patient, warm, and just really genuine in the way she took care of us. She checked in on us multiple times, made sure we had everything we needed, and even gave us suggestions that ended up being some of our favorite dishes of the night. It’s rare to get service that feels personal without being over the top, but she balanced it perfectly. The rest of the staff was also friendly, and the place itself was super clean and cozy, which made our Thanksgiving dinner feel even more special. We ended up ordering a little bit of everything because their menu has so many different Central American dishes, flavors from Honduras, El Salvador, and all over. You can tell the food comes from people who know their roots, because everything was packed with flavor. The Chips con Salsa were fresh, crispy, and the salsa had that perfect kick. The Frijol con Queso was creamy and comforting, the kind of dish you just keep going back to. The Tamales de Pollo were honestly out of this world, soft, perfectly seasoned, and probably some of the best tamales we’ve ever had. We also tried the Margarita with the maracuya add-on, which was refreshing in the best way. The Revueltas pupusas were cheesy, filling, and full of flavor, and the Tilapia Frita came out with that perfect crisp on the outside while still being tender inside the seasoning was just perfect. The Camarones Rancheros had bold, rich flavors that stood out, and the Frijoles Fritos tied everything together like comfort on a plate. Even the smaller items felt thoughtful and well-prepared. What impressed us most was how fast everything came out, and it was all hot, like actually hot, not lukewarm or rushed. And the portion sizes were huge, more than worth what we paid. Even on a busy holiday, the food felt homemade, like someone was really putting love into every dish instead of just sending it out quickly. That mix of speed, quality, and comfort is something you don’t find everywhere. By the time we were done, we were stuffed, happy, and honestly surprised at how much we enjoyed the whole experience. It didn’t just feel like a dinner, it felt like a really warm, relaxed celebration with good food and good people. We walked out already planning when we’d be back. A huge thank you to Nicole for making our Thanksgiving dinner feel so special. She truly made the night for us, and La Cabana definitely earned a spot on our list of places to return to.

The service was warm and surprisingly fast, which set the tone for a great meal. I ordered the Plato Guanaco, and it honestly felt like a taste of home on one plate. The pupusa was cheesy and comforting, the tamal soft and flavorful, the pastelitos had that perfect crispy bite, the plátanos were sweet and caramelized, and the chicharrón con yuca had the right balance of crunch and tenderness. The portions were generous enough that I left with plenty of leftovers, which is always a win. I also had the fresco de ensalada, and it was so refreshing and naturally sweet that I practically drank it in one go. As a Salvadoran from Los Angeles, I’ve been searching for good Salvadoran food in Seattle for a while, and this is the first place that truly delivered. The flavors reminded me of family gatherings back home, and I left already thinking about what I’ll order next time.

this place was really cool. all the food we had was very tasty and the other menu options seem really good, for this reason I had a difficult time picking as there were several things that I wanted to try. I chose a soup which came in an absolutely massive portion. the prices are about average for eating in seattle, however since the portion sizes are so big you can easily feed 2 or 3 people or take the food home and have a meal for yourself. overall the place had a fun, welcoming vibe and the service was lovely, I would definitely recommend this place!

Great food! We tried Guanaco platter and I loved the variety of flavors. The Hilachas plate was also good. The corn tortillas are great! They remodeled the restaurant and it looks nicer and bigger than before. The parking lot is small, but most of the time I have found an open spot. The staff is friendly, and they speak English and Spanish.

Authentic & made from scratch. Definitely order pupusas! I'm vegetarian and had no issues finding something to eat, in fact, I ordered way too much! It's just a bare bones restaurant, not much decoration, but everything we ordered was amazing. Comida como la de la abuela

La Cabaña is a Mexican restaurant between Aurora and 15th off Holman. It's a bit rough to get into the parking lot as it's a tight turn but they have parking for probably 20 cars once you're in. Inside they have a few dozen tables. Their menu is big, combining a few different Spanish cuisines. Prices are decent but portions sizes are massive. The food here is delicious, chicharon with yuca fries are so good and their horchata is good too. The staff are so fri ndoy, and with food made to order, you know you're always gonna get something good here.
